Neobarbarians 1: Pillagers

Jimmy King had a bad day. Kicked out of the education containers and stripped of his thought enhancements, his descent into the lower levels of the Berlin Cluster seems certain.

That is, until he is contacted by a mysterious benefactor who offers to give his Lifescore a much needed boost. All the stranger asks for in return is to be aided on his romantic quest: the liberation of a pleasure drone from the confines of the Verona Park.

As Jimmy sets out on his mission, however, he soon gets caught up between hosts of dark Jinn and mercenaries from the wilderness. Something greater than a man’s love waits behind the park’s gates. A secret terrible enough to stir up the 30th century’s most powerful forces.

And to stake their claim these powers are willing to set both the physical and digital world ablaze …
